Is your child having trouble falling asleep at bedtime?
Does your child stall and make excuses to resist going to bed?
Does your child stay in bed after you’ve put them there?
Well, this book is designed to help restless children and exhausted parents WIN!
The Story of 1000 Ants & The Sleepy General is a bedtime story that incorporates meditation and breathing techniques that ease the mind to a resting state.
Take time to prepare for sleep. The sleep routine may incorporate taking a bath, changing into pajamas, brushing teeth, and putting away electronic devices before bedtime.
Set a sense of calm. Our lives are active and at times, stressful. Take a moment to separate from daily demands and focus on rest. Before reading the book, with a calm, slow, monotone voice, say the title of the boo, "This is The Story of 1000 Ants..."
When the Sleepy General Begins to count his troops, count in the following manner to incorporate "breathing":
One (deep breath) ant, deep breath) two (deep breath) ants, (deep breath) three (deep breath) ants (deep breath and yawn.)
At the end of the first cycle, the general thinks "...about his mission." Take 10 slow, deep breaths before continuing.
At the end of the second cycle, take 20 slow, deep breaths. When returning to count, take two deep breaths while "breathing."

The book is designed as a meditation practice. My 3yo and 5yo absolutely loving it.
Make sure you read in a deep, slow voice with plenty of deep breaths and yawns. Once the book is finished we just turn of the light and continue making up the story. Works like a charm.
Highly recommended to young families!

Bought this for my 2 year old son. He really seems to enjoy the story and pictures but most of all he loves the music that accompanies the book via QR code.
It’s really easy to pull up on my phone when I start reading the story and it seems to calm him really well. He’s out in 10 minutes even though the music plays up to 2 hrs! Now he’s starting to just ask for the music, which I’ll add is really relaxing and pleasant, not obnoxious nursery rhymes.
Thought this was a great innovative feature to be included with the purchase of the book!

This book was something my kid enjoys reading and I love looking at the images! I love how the author included links to a soundtrack to listen to as the story is being read to my child.
Easy enough for little ones to enjoy and easy enough to help calm them down FAST and put them to bed even FASTER! Great, colorful illustrations bring the story to life as your child closes their eyes.
Check out the YouTube supplements to the book as well for additional tips to get that kid to bed! Love it!

Combines proven meditation methods, a rhythmic story, and soothing background music to lull a toddler to sleep. I almost fell asleep myself.

Such a cute book! We were gifted this book by my kids God-parents and it is such a help! The kids get sleepy quick each time we read them this book before bed!
